Prescriptions
New Jersey state law requires that all veterinarians to have an active Veterinary-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) with you and your cat before we can prescribe medication and prescription diets. To maintain a VCPR, we are required to perform a complete physical exam of your cat at a minimum of once yearly. If we have not seen your cat in the past year and a medication or prescription diet is requested, we would be happy to schedule an exam so that we have a valid VCPR with you.
Please allow 24 hours for medication refills after placing your request. Be advised that messages and refill requests left after hours or on weekends will be answered the following business day – please plan accordingly for your cat’s medication refills.
Prescription medication cannot be returned due to safety and legal restrictions.
Appointments
The Cat Clinic at Cherry Hill sees patients as appointments to ensure every cat gets the time and care they deserve. We will always try to fit in same day “urgent” visits for our patients as our schedule allows.
We also understand how busy many clients are during the day, and therefore we offer “drop off” services that allow clients whose cats need an examination or procedure to bring the cat to us in the morning and pick him up later in the day or evening. We also offer evening appointments for convenience.
For the safety of all our patients, all cats must arrive in a secure carrier or on a harness and leash.
Payments
Payment is due in full at the time services are provided. We accept a variety of payment methods, including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cash, personal checks, and will coordinate with most pet insurance plans.
We are always happy to provide you with a written estimate of fees for routine services. It is our policy to provide you with a written estimate of fees for any case where in-hospital treatment, emergency care, surgery, or hospitalization will be provided. Estimates are provided as a guide based on the anticipated services. Final charges may vary depending on the time required and the complexity of care determined during your cat’s visit and treatment.
A deposit prior to treatment may be required depending on the amount of the anticipated cost of services.
